Electric Vehicle (EV) Home Charging lets you top up your electric car battery, with miles of range, from the comfort of your own home.Charging your car at home is much cheaper, and more convenient, than charging up at a public charging point. Depending on your tariff, it can be up to 20x cheaper to charge at home!

WHAT DOES A ZEALOUS EV CHARGING UNIT INSTALLATION INCLUDE?

We’ll use all the info you’ve given to us to make sure we can do a standard install and decide on the best logistics for the job.
Fitting the charging unit
We’ll fit the charger on a brick or plaster wall, or other suitable place. We’ll also fit an earthing unit (e.g. Garo or Matt:e brand) where needed.
Route the cable
We’ll route the cable through one drilled hole in a wall up to 20 inches thick, if necessary. Up to 15 metres of armoured cable will be run and clipped to the wall between your consumer unit and charger, up to 1.8m high.
Electrical connections
We’ll connect the charger to the origin of the supply (usually main fuse board) and install a Type A RCD in the consumer unit. If the unit is full, an additional board may be required (+£89). We’ll supply up to 3m of plastic conduit or trunking to conceal any interior wiring.
Testing, demonstration and certification
We’ll do all the necessary electrical testing and provide you with all relevant certification, as well as demonstrating to you how the charger and app works.
Claiming grants.
We’ll check for any grants you may be eligible for to help cover the costs of your charger and installation.
